Much needed tips for this Fall

Retake on Fall fashion
So when I was told to write a feature article as my next assignment, I thought of a million different topics from the state of psychedelic to the streets of Manhattan and Paris, as I scratched m head about things I could write to one category popped up in feature writing that was the “how to” category and since I have never really explored this category I thought why not write a piece which is practical and can help in a small way to the industry that I see a future in.

Within the blink of an eye fall or as I call it the most exiting fashion season of the year is here And though there is still time for that perfect blend of winter and summer air, all my favourite magazines are seem to be pulling a fall looks already as I devour the September issues of these mags I tend to get super exited and pumped about the new (and seriously fabulous looks) that I have been planning in my head but you are just lucky enough to get an insight into it.
When I think of this season, I think of fashion without any limitations since there is a moderate temperature it allows one to experiment with hemlines and layers, which tend to lead us to some very electric combinations for this season

1.              Show some bold color.
Ok so the basic thing we think when we thing of fall fashion is a palette of black, maroon or camel. I am completely anti the idea of “fall colours” (something which can be translated to as BORING in my fashion dictionary). Instead I suggest adding pops of bight colours to neutral outfits, seriously make Ur imagination run wild by adding a hint of fall colours in your boots and adding up a bright summer dress to it.

2. Layer those statement necklaces.
So we have all seen this look for ages, but I am amongst those not so gutsy people who haven’t tried it yet. But I have seen many of my friend rock this look with a hint of colour and texture, a statement neckpiece adds a whole new level of interest in what your wearing .You can work this look by doing what the girl did in the above shown picture i.e. throw a think and bulky neckpiece over a thin but bulky one.

3. Tie a jacket or shirt around your waist.
So this one is my personal favourite and I have been using my light jacket to wrap around my waist and its functions like a belt too! Just let it hang loose like the girl in the picture. This trend has made a comeback from the 90’s (yes! most of us were just kids back then)

4. Find a bright blazer.
A fun a bright blazer can POP up can look and yet look refined and lady like, this trend goes back to last fall collections and is still as we say IN. just add one to against a monochrome outfit. There is a variety available at Zara and they aren’t all that expensive.

5. Use lipstick as an accessory.

Since it is fall you can never go wrong with a bold lipstick. A bright pick or a classic red choose any to take your look to the next level. Red lips make a simple top and jeans with a structure bag sorta combination look worth of being featured in teen vogue. on the other hand my personal favourite is shades of pink which highlights feminine traits in no matter what you choose to wear.

And finally the best fashion advice one can give to anyone Throw fashion rules out the window! Though this post was mostly what to wear with what but these are just general ideas that an average Design school (and fashion lover at heart) can give you. To me personally the most IMP fashion rule is do whatever the heck suits you , as long as you can carry it off with that killer smile of yours ...

Until next time
XOXO
